Was disappointed with the customer service, whilst I waited over 5 mins at the til to pay simply for a screen protector. 2 customer service reps were with clients talking about plans, whilst a boss looking staff member (chinese i think) just sat there with no clients to serve working on his laptop, even though i stared at him a few times this boss looking character pretended to be oblivious i was standing there (and he was pretending, i was standing 2 metres in front of him, eyes fixed on the laptop screen). It took until one of the other 2 reps to finish discussing plans with their client to come over and process my transaction. I thought customer service was this bad on the phone to telstra when on hold. I didnt expect it face to face in a store with money in my hand ready to pay for something
Received very poor feedback from my mum who went into the telstra store today for assistance.. She requested a new micro sim card for her new phone, and asked for help to transfer her contacts. She was advised by the staff that as she was on a low value contract, they could only provide her with the sim and were unable to spend time transferring her contacts. They also suggested that as her son purchased the new phone for her, then they should also help her set it up.... I am not opposed to helping my mum, but would expect a customer service role to provide some basic service to a long standing, yet low value customer.
The Assistant Manager Fraser at the new Forest Hill store is very friendly and helpful. He is by far one of the best consultants Ive spoken to recently, has excellent customer service and is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him to my friends, family and colleagues simply because I can trust him and with my Telstra account and know he will take care of everything. Hes truely a valuable asset to your company.
